Hi, I developed an application that uses Access. Everything works perfectly, except in one case. When i try installal AccessDatabaseEnginex64.exe on a 64Bit sistem a nd there is32-bit Office products installed, i had this error You cannot install the 64-bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 because you currently have 32-bit Office products installed. If you want to install 64-bit Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010, you will first need to remove the 32-bit installation of Office products. Thanx Robymun. I have fresh Windows 2008 R2 with latest service packs and updates. No (zero) 32 bit Office. The 64 bit version of AccessDatabaseEnginex64.exe installed withOUT an error. Added a reference to it in my ASP.NET Web Application and even rebooted the server.
I get the error 'Not Registered'. I uninstalled the 64 bit version and installed the 32 bit version and rebooted. Removed the reference to the 64 bit and added a reference to the 32 bit.
It ran just fine. I made zero changes to the syntax of my ASP.NET application so it does not appear to be a syntax error. But the instructions on the Microsoft download page are incorrect - it should be Excel 12.0 and not Excel 14.0. There is just plain a bug in the 64 bit version of AccessDatabaseEngine.

I even installed as Administrator thinking it may have not had proper authority to write to the registry. Oh I went to AccessDatabaseEnginex64.exe because my Jet4.0 provider was not working. But when I set IIS to allow 32 bit the Jet4.0 worked so I am not even going to use the AccessDatabaseEngine (32 or 64 ). Joe developer.
